A beautiful station especially during monsoons. There 3 routes diverging from this Junction. As seen in the pic, the left diverges towards Goa and right towards Belgaum. Right behind me, the route takes you towards Hubli.

A coal laden freight banked and ready to depart with 3 EMD roaring to push the heavy freight over the Western Ghats. The ALCO twins will push us up and waiting for us to come to a stop.

Poorna express bound to Pune switches and curves into Kulem for getting its bankers to ascend the Western Ghats seen beyond.

Suravali, A peaceful and a picturesque station after Madgaon towards Mumbai. The left most line connects Madgaon with Vasco and the rightmost one moves on towards the beautiful konkan region.

The RSA partners, Mandovi & the Konkan Kanya expresses exchange quick hellos as they get set for their next leg. Even the train names are beautiful on the Konkan 🙂
